LCP (Liquid Cooling Package)

The challenge and our vision

Exceptional computer performance is pivotal to a company's success. However, the latest, most powerful generations of servers not only offer outstanding performance, but also generate high heat losses in the most confined spaces, which must be overcome with innovative cooling concepts.
Conventional climate control solutions are no longer adequate to meet these requirements, and as a result, many IT enclosures are no longer fully populated, which means that they are being used inefficiently. With the innovative climate control concept from Rittal, this dilemma is a thing of the past.

The solution

Rittal unveils a brand new approach to the effective cooling of server enclosures with the Liquid Cooling Package (LCP). The air/water heat exchanger blows cool air horizontally into the enclosure and into each bayed server suite. In this way, consistent thermal conditions are achieved inside the enclosure, allowing the enclosure volume to be used to its full capacity once again. The scalability of this system guarantees optimum dimensioning of cooling requirements, coupled with problem-free upgrading of the computer output as and when required in the future.

Our service

The Windows-based software package Therm offers the option of compiling suitable climate control components for the required cooling output. CFD (Computer Fluid Dynamics) offers another software-assisted form of climate control analysis, by facilitating simulation of the climate control requirements at the project-planning phase. Additionally, critical hotspots may also be identified directly on site via infrared using a thermography technique, and an individual solution profile created.
